I recently made some choices, that I’ve been thinking about for some time now, and thought I’d let you know what you can look forward to at The Covered Chipboard for 2016. I hope you’ll stick around and enjoy my offerings for the future.
As I’ve become more involved in the miniature world it’s brought back my love of creating 3D projects full force. I hadn’t realized till the past few months how burnt out I had become with creating digital kits. After creating digital scrapbook kits for 10+ years, it’s just become impossible for me to come up with new ideas or be inspired by much in that direction. Not to mention what the physical act of sitting at the computer 12 hrs a day does to one lol. That said, I’ve decided to stop creating digital scrapbook kits, that is unless I just get inspired out of the blue, but I wouldn’t count on it.
I still do love making the Journal Books and Keepsake Boxes and will continue to create new ones from time to time. These will most likely be created with my existing kits unless I find a source of ready-made papers to draw from. And I may start offering patterns that you can use with your own stash of digital papers as well as physical papers. As new books and boxes are created, you’ll find them in my Etsy shop as well as on my Blog so be sure to keep track of what’s new in those areas.
If you follow my Blog you will begin to see new 3D projects appearing soon as well as more free tuts and previews of new products offered for sale. I’m looking at my Blog now and thinking that I might change it over from a store oriented one to more of a personal one soon. We’ll see how that goes lol as it takes some time to do all that.
Another change is that I will be closing my Blog store/home store open. I’m doing well enough on Etsy now that I can use it as my home shop and it makes things much easier for selling to UK customers. For those who don’t know . . . all of my scrapkits and digital scrap related products are in this home store. What does that mean for you . . . that you’ll have one month to pick up any digital kits that you have on your wish list before the shop closes AND I’ll be offering a nice coupon you can use in that shop till it closes!!! My guess is that I’ll close the shop on March 1st. I’ll add the coupon code to the END of THIS POST.
That all said . . .
For 2016 I’m working on a series of new Shops created from chipboard and wood! It’s called “Hanson’s Village” and the first offering will be “Teri’s Tea Shop”, a cute little two story shop created from a shoebox! I’m about half way through the project now so possibly by Sunday or the next week, the kit will be ready for purchase. There are a total of six shops planned for this series, maybe more if you all support it. These will not only include the shops but the furniture that goes inside them and possibly some easy to make Polymer Clay items! So stay tuned for more on this.
I’ll also be working on the next couple of shops for the North Pole Village series! Next up is Mrs. Clause’s Sweet Shop and Elf’s Cabin. These will be sooooo much FUN!
For those who purchased my Dollhouse Project . . . there are more furniture kits and tuts coming soon as well.
Lastly, I want to thank all of you who have honored me with your support over the years. I could not have come this far without you all and I’m eternally grateful!!!! I look forward to another year with you and some awesome new projects.
Bless you all . . .
