I’ve been asked many times what machines I use in my crafts and if there is one cutting machine that I prefer over another. Below you will find a list of all the machines, with links, that I use often. As for cutting machines …. I believe they all have value and it just comes down to what works best for each person based upon what you use the machine for. With that said, I do favor the Cricut Maker nowdays because of the vast array of materials it will cut. The new tool system Cricut has created for the machine is another plus. And while Cricut Design Space has made huge leaps in it’s functionality, I think it still has a ways to go for the “beyond average user” and being more designer friendly. Even with that said, it’s my go to machine for crafting these days.
As you can see from the two videos above … Cricut has come a long way. Just imagine what you could create with it! If you have not checked out my new Craft Along series, I’ll be using the Cricut Maker for just about every project so it’s a fun way to learn about the machine. Visit Cricut to shop for your own Cricut Maker machine and supplies.
Other cutting machines I own . . .
Silhouette Cameo 3 – I do love how the software for this machine works and it’s more designer friendly when making your own designs.
Brother Scan N Cut 2 – this machine I use mainly for the scanning feature and it’s ability to manipulate found images.
Once again …. it all comes down to what you want to do with the machine as to which will be a good fit for you. Watch some videos on YouTube for all three machines and see what each can do. Then take that information with the type of crafting you want to do and make your purchase based on that information.
Till next time . . .
