HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!!! Several of you have asked about the upcoming magic shop project I mentioned not long ago so I thought I would post a bit more about that and a couple of other project plans I have for the new year.
I plan to create four “work along” projects, one per quarter, and post them on the blog in a series-type format so you can follow along working with me. These projects will feature various techniques geared toward beginners. I plan to offer both written and video information for all of the projects so that they can be worked at your own pace and time. I may even do a Facebook live in the mini group for each project – something like a Q&A.
Looking at the projects you will notice there are a variety of scales used. I thought it would be nice for beginners to experience the different sizes and learn the limitations of each.
I still have surgery that needs to be done but not a definite date just now – maybe in March. So that might get in the way for a week or two depending on how quickly I recover. I will keep you all updated on that later on.
For now . . . here is a list of the projects. Note that the two from Petite Properties will take a bit to arrive to you so order early! PP items also tend to sell out quickly so order as soon as possible. I will plan these two for later in the year allowing time for you all to order.
1st Quarter Project: Magic Shop
Learn how to enhance this Magic Shop kit along with some tips and tricks.
2nd Quarter Project: The Bookshop
This month we will create a bookshop that sits on top of the Magic Shop we created last quarter. The structure, furniture, and finishing techniques will all be included.
3rd Quarter Project: Grandmas Retreat
Aug. 1st
This little cutie is a 1:48 scale (quarter scale) cottage. We will only be working on the exterior plus a fun technique for the base.
Think tree house . . .
4th Quarter Project: Butterwick House
Nov. 1st
NOTE: This is a 1/76 low-relief style house. The idea is to get others familiar with working on a smaller scale. Honestly … it’s not difficult at all and we will only be working the exterior!
I’ve recently been in touch with Petite Properties and they will make sure these two kits are in stock for the event!! Yayyyyyyy – THANKS Mo!
Here’s a little intro video of the kits . . .
Till then . . .
Happy Crafting, Teri
